It's been a long time since I've updated. The intro cutscene is going along fine. In fact; I'm almost done with it. But here's some not-so-good news, and a little description of the game itself.

So my headset mic is busted. It's suddenly extremely quiet and it won't pick up any noise that I can use for voice acting, even if the mic end is touching my lips. I'm planning on CoA to be 100% voice acted, so this is obviously a problem. I have another headset, but the mic quality is pitifully low. I think I need to buy a new mic before I can move on with the game, because I'm afraid that I might forget to voice act and I'll just leave the intro cutscene with half-done voices, and the game won't have anything in it. I want my first Flash game to be an amazing experience. I'm supposed to get it done by winter, but with the microphone fuckup I don't think I can do that. Maybe I can get it out by February. Or maybe I can just press onward and make it a note to not forget voice acting.

Now it's time to tell you what the game is about, because I haven't really explained it.

What is this game about? Well, it's the first game in a series of 5 games. This one, unlike the other ones I'm planning, has a very controversial story that deals heavily with religion. Luke, the protagonist, is a teenage atheist living in a fundie-dominated town. It deals with and makes fun of such things as persecution against non-religious people in America, childhood indoctrination, the fact that your parents are flawed beings and that if they're being truly asinine then you shouldn't listen to them, the persecution complex that religious people have, ageism, and the irrationality of fundamentalism. There has never been such biting religious commentary on Newgrounds; I can guarantee that.

And yes, I am anti-religious. That doesn't mean that I'm not tolerant. I can hang with any religious person if they don't try to convert me.
